JKT Tanzania striker John Bocco is expected to use the match against Mashujaa, scheduled for June 22 at Lake Tanganyika Stadium in Kigoma, as an opportunity to bid farewell to the team’s fans.
Bocco joined the club on a one-year contract from Simba, where he had been coaching the youth team. Despite scoring two goals for JKT Tanzania, the decision to give him a farewell moment is said to be due to his contribution to his fellow players, including demonstrating high levels of discipline in all his responsibilities.
“Bocco has been a role model in work discipline and an advisor to younger players on how to maintain high standards of performance over time,” said the source, adding:
“Bocco values doing everything on time — from arriving at training, meal times, to his personal training efforts, which sometimes surpass those of players who are still trying to establish themselves or those who have grown complacent.”
“Despite his achievements, including holding the record for the most goals in the Premier League and being financially stable, his level of effort suggests he is still chasing his first breakthrough. His discipline with coaches is truly something other players should learn from in order to succeed.”
