Simba Head Coach Fadlu Davids has congratulated his players for successfully qualifying for the CAF Confederation Cup (CAF CC) final after a goalless draw against Stellenbosch in the second leg of the semi-final played at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Sunday evening
Simba advanced to the final with a 1-0 aggregate victory following their victory in the first leg
Speaking after the game, Fadlu said the players have proven they can adapt and withstand all types of play
"In previous matches we showed we can dominate the game and force our opponents to sit back but today we have shown we can play even without the ball"
"My players have shown they can fight even in matches where we will have to sit back to block"
"I add to them that with what they did today (yesterday), we are close to achieving our goals"
"For now we can be happy but partly because we are not done yet. We have two finals, we will have great joy at the end," said Fadlu
This is the second time Fadlu is leading the team to play in the Confederation Cup final, doing so in the 2021/22 season while leading Orlando Pirates
But he is also once again going to meet RS Berkane in the final where the last final on May 22 2022 Pirates lost on penalties after a 1-1 draw
