The Yanga squad has left Dar es Salaam today, Friday, for the Zanzibar islands to participate in the 2025 Union Cup tournament that began yesterday
Yanga is scheduled to face KVZ tomorrow Saturday in the quarter-final game of the tournament that was returned last season
Yanga's Media and Communications Manager Ali Kamwe has said that they are not going to just participate in the tournament, but their mission is to return with the trophy to Dar es Salaam
"We are just telling you, our Zanzibarians, we are coming, this season we have said we will not leave anything behind," Kamwe said
The tournament is being held on Pemba Island at the Gombani Stadium where yesterday JKU advanced to the semi-finals after a 6-5 penalty shootout victory after a 2-2 draw against Singida Black Stars
Two matches are expected to be played today where Zimamoto will face Coastal Union and KMKM will face Azam Fc
