Yesterday the Government of Tanzania signed a contract for the construction of a football stadium in Dodoma with the contractor LimontaI Spa from Italy worth more than Sh350 billion.
The project will be implemented for two years from now, while it is expected to be able to accommodate more than 32,000 spectators which is the second project for the construction of new stadiums announced by the Government.
Minister of Information, Culture, Arts and Sports, Professor Palamagamba Kabudi witnessing the signing of the agreement
Professor Kabudi said the project is an example of continuing to strengthen the sports sector in the country.
The signing of the contract removes the long-term uncertainty of the construction of the stadium in Dodoma due to the stalling of the financing of the Moroccan Government where the project will currently be financed by the Government of Tanzania for 100 percent
