Yesterday tar. 10/02/2025 around 10 o'clock in the morning, our squad which was on its way from Ruangwa in Lindi Region to the city of Dar es Salaam had a car accident in Lindi Region by overturning and falling into the River (Matandu River)
The accident caused several injuries including physical education teacher Francis Mkanula, our striker Yassin Mgaza and Rajab who is the goalkeeper of our youth team under 20 years, where all the injured were rushed to the Nangurukuru Health Center for further treatment
The injured are doing well and after tests and initial treatment they were released and our team continued their journey and have managed to reach Dar es Salaam safely
We express our gratitude to the kind Samalians who came out to rescue the scene, the doctors and the police force, the road safety unit of Kilwa District, Lindi Region for all the help and efforts they made to ensure that everything goes well
In addition, we thank the media, journalists and various institutions that continue to send condolences and encourage us during this difficult period
We pray for all the injured to recover quickly so that they can return to their duties.
