The Ethics Committee of the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) has banned the Chairman of the Selection Committee of the Dar es Salam Regional Football Association (DRFA), Yusuph Kaiwanga, from being involved in football for five years.
In its decision, the Committee has said that after going through the evidence of the documents and the testimony of the witness, it has satisfied the pass and doubt that the Complainant Kaiwanga made mistakes on purpose
The committee was satisfied that the Respondent did not make good use of the authority given to him by law to manage the elections of the Temeke District Football Association (TEFA) and decided to cancel it
His action to cancel it was wrong since he participated in the entire election process
Thus, the Ethics Committee has decided that the results of the TEFA elections remain as they are
In addition to the five-year sentence, the Committee has also fined the respondent shs. six million
The penalties are given under section 73(4) and (5) of the TFF Code of Conduct, 2021 Edition
Initially Kaiwanga complained before the Ethics Committee that his act of canceling the TEFA Election when he participated in the entire process from the beginning violated the TFF Code of Ethics.
