The clubs of Simba, Yanga and Azam of the Premier League of Mainland Tanzania have had the opportunity to play friendly matches with the Clubs of the Premier League of Russia as well as to set up camps for those teams during the break of the Premier League
The opportunity has been obtained following the visit of the Minister of Culture, Arts and Sports Hon. Dr. Damas Ndumbaro in the country where he met and held talks with the Minister of Sports of the country Hon. Mikhail Degtyarev December 3, 2024
With the opportunity Hon. Ndumbaro has suggested that there be cooperation to exchange expertise at the club level as well as to have regular friendly games between the clubs of various leagues of the two countries
In addition, Minister Ndumbaro has visited the offices of the Russian Premier League Board and held talks with the Board's Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Evgeniy Melezhikov where they have agreed to establish cooperation between the national teams and have friendly matches
