Simba has made a good start to the Africa Confederations Cup campaign in the group stage with a 1-0 win against Bravos Fc of Angola in a game played at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium
Jean Charles Ahoua continued his fire to find the net again today, scoring the only winning goal through an early shot in the first half after the Bravos defender cleared the ball inside the danger zone
Simba dominated the game in the first half creating several chances but attention was lacking for the attackers Steven Mukwala, Kibu Denis and Ahoua failing to use those chances
In the second period, Bravos came back strong and would have equalized the goal if not for the skill of Simba's goalkeeper Moussa Camara who saved the penalty kick
It is the type of match that Simba fans will enjoy three points, but it is clear that coach Fadlu Davids will need to continue to improve his team to ensure that the goals of playing in the semi-finals of the championship are achieved
