Former Chelsea star Emmanuel Petit has said Cole Palmer has not yet reached world-class quality despite his 12-month spell at the Blues
Petit, who played 76 times for Chelsea between 2001 and 2004 under coach Claudio Ranieri and was also in Arsene Wenger's Arsenal squad that won the English Premier League in the 1997/98 season, has been closely following his former team, The Blues
Petit believes the media in England are more embellishing Palmer than the reality of his quality
"As rumored, does Cole live up to his standard?" questioned Petit and continued. "No, I don't think so".
"Palmer had a good season last season, but this one he's had a slow start until September when he showed some life" "The media has been making a lot of noise about the young talent of the players. Palmer is a very good player, but he is not yet at the level of being a world player" "He has shown enough creativity, but he is not world-class yet," he said
