Gamondi is a real Master

Yesterday Yanga secured their fourth consecutive win against their countrymen Simba in the premier league game played at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium

Simba's own goal in the 86th minute after Maxi Nzengeli's shot hit Kelvin Kijili, was enough to guarantee Yanga their fifth consecutive win in the league this season and rise to second place in the league standings

Yanga head coach Miguel Gamondi has shown his quality in front of Simba, his team setting a record of four consecutive defeats at home

Yanga started the game slowly and gave Simba a chance to own the game in 25-30 minutes of the first half

Gamondi said it was their tactical strategy to start like that because he knew Simba would start the game at a fast pace while his team also faced the challenge of fatigue for some players who were in the roles of national teams

"Some players arrived the day before the game and others came back at dawn on the day of the game, you will see how much we had a big challenge in our preparation"

"We played with great caution in the first half knowing our opponents will start with a high speed but in the second half we made a tactical change, we took control of the game and I think we deserved to win"

"I congratulate my players it was not an easy match, this victory is the result of their dedication for all 90 minutes of the game," said Gamondi

The entry of Kennedy Musonda, Clement Mzize and Clatous Chama changed the image of the game where Yanga increased the speed of their attacks leading to the goal in the last minute
