Premier league regulations 2024/25 improved

The Executive Committee of the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF), has adopted 12 new rules for the Tanzania Mainland Premier League for the 2024/25 season which is expected to start soon

The statement issued by the TFF yesterday, said that the committee adopted the regulations, August Mosi, after discussing and working on the opinions of various football stakeholders for the new league regulations

The statement said that the rules that were improved and adopted in the session include the seventh rule of the 'first league' about the best eight, the ninth rule of the league about the field, the 17th rule about the game procedures, the 31st rule about the team absenteeism, rule 47 on club control, rule 62 on foreign players, rule 77 on coaches and rule 79 on non-appealable decisions

Some of the new rules are superstitious in the field, where now instead of the final of Sh. 500,000, up to Sh. One Million, now the teams that will be found to be doing actions that indicate superstition, will be fined as low as Shs. Five million to 10 million, but if the situation seems to repeat itself, the club will be fined Shs. 20 million

Another rule is the registration fee for players from abroad, where now the clubs will have to pay Shs. Eight Million, where the clubs with all 12 players who are legally allowed, will have to milk Sh 96 Million

There is also a rule to ban players and officials from engaging in gambling, i.e. 'betting', while there is a rule that in every game there must be two players from the youth team, who will be listed on the list of players wearing jerseys

There is also a rule that requires all foreign head coaches outside Africa to have at least a 'Pro Diploma' coaching certificate, and foreign assistants outside Africa are required to have a 'Diploma A' education.
