The saga of which club has the right to own defender Lameck Lawi, between Simba and Coastal Union, is still in the hands of the Status and Rights of Players Committee under the Football Federation in the country (TFF), after the two sides gave explanations yesterday before the committee, it has been explained
Lewi played for Coastal Union last season and when it ended he was sold to Simba Club, but his former owners returned the money claiming that the payment period they had agreed to has expired, which has caused tension as the other side also says it followed all the procedures
Yesterday each side gave their evidence before the committee, Coastal Union, represented by its General Secretary, Omary Ayoub, while Simba was represented by their lawyers
Each team has continued to maintain its position where the Coastal Union claims they returned all the money given by Simba after the violation of the agreement between the two parties
Even Simba has insisted that the process was completed as agreed, Coastal Union should have informed them in advance if there was a breach of agreement (payment time issue)
