Yanga has received a judgment of non-recognition of the club's Board of Trustees following the judgment given on August 2, 2023 by the Kisutu Resident Magistrate's Court
The judgment is based on the primary case opened on August 4,2022 by the plaintiffs Juma Ally and Geoffrey Mwaipopo, seeking the non-recognition of the Yanga Board of Trustees which was put in power by the 2010 constitution, lacking legal qualifications
In addition, the plaintiffs also wanted all financial transactions approved by the council, not to be legally recognized as invalid
The judgment has asked the board that was in power under the constitution of 1968 which was changed in 2011, to return to power to lead the Yanga club
The complained council is chaired by Chairman George Mkuchika and his members Mama Fatma Karume, Dr Mwigulu Nchemba, Tarimba Abbas and Antony Mavunde.
