While Simba team has only one cup left to compete for this season, the Honorary President of the club, Mohamed Dewji 'Mo' has contacted the technical bench and all the players of the team, wanting stability first.
Simba plays Ihefu tomorrow Saturday in the Premier League game, being the only trophy that the team has left this season, after being thrown out of the African Champions League when they were beaten 3-0 by Al Ahly, but four days ahead was eliminated from the FA Cup by penalty kicks 6-5 by Mashujaa.
This season so far, Simba has only won the Community Shield, being seven points behind their traditional rivals, Yanga, but with one game in hand after playing 19 games.
After the team lost against Mashujaa, it has been stated that Mo had a conversation on the phone with the technical bench, players and senior leaders of the club asking them not to be disappointed by the result
Recently, a lot of blame has been directed at the investor that he has not provided funds to run the team, but in his conversation he has denied the issue.
"He started calling the coaches when they arrived in Singida, where he spoke to them for 45 minutes, while explaining his plans within Simba, but saying that he has been giving money for registrations different from what the fans are saying"
"He asked them to go back to the statement of the general meeting which showed the amount that he gave last year for registration and said that this season he has continued to do the same as it has been his custom," explained the source
But it is also said that there were some conversations between him and the bench where others told him that there are some registered players who do not have the right level, where he said he does not do registrations and he knows there are areas to improve.
"He was told about some players that they are not well and do not match the speed of Simba, but he seemed to be aware of this even though he said that he has not been making registrations for the team, but gives money for registrations if needed" p>
"He said that when he is told about the coach's report and what is required, he is asked the amount of the player's money and gives money because he cannot monitor whether he can help Simba or not and it is not his responsibility"
