The government has signed a contract for the construction of the Samia Suluhu Hassan Stadium that will be built in Arusha and will cost Shs 286 billion
Witnessing the signing in Dar es Salaam yesterday, the Minister of Culture, Arts and Sports, Dr. Damas Ndumbaro said the purpose of building the stadium in Arusha is to stimulate the development of the tourism sector through sports
The construction of the stadium is part of Tanzania's preparation to be one of the three host countries for the African Nations Championship (AFCON) in 2027. The other countries are Kenya and Uganda
