Simba assistant coach, Selemani Matola, has said that there are still many matches that can give Simba the Tanzania Mainland championship, but he has stressed that the players must increase their focus and make good use of the many opportunities they create in each match
Matola said that they should not lose hope by looking at the results of other teams because the league is like a long race, the one who plays his cards well at the end is the winner and not the one who leads for a long time
"I can't say the championship then because there is a team doing well, we are still in the race and we believe we can get it"
"The league is always like a long race, an athlete can lead for a long time, be ahead for many kilometers, but when there are several meters left, people overturn the goal, this is the 20th round, but we Simba have played 17 matches, so the games there is a lot left, you can't take us out of the championship," said Matola.
Matola has also spoken about the challenge of the schedule which deprives them of time to make more tactical improvements due to playing every two days
"The schedule is also a challenge, sometimes we don't have time to make some preparations because every two days we play a match"
"We end up doing 'recovery' exercises to prepare the players for the next match but all in all we will continue to fight, the team has the best players and others have a lot of experience, I believe they will help us achieve our goals"
Today at 8:15 pm Simba will go down to Azam Complex to face Singida FG in the 18th NBC PL round game
