The European Football Federation (UEFA) has announced the new format of the European Champions League for the 2024/2025 season
Initially there were 32 teams and now they will increase to 36. There will be four pots, each team will have four home games and four away games, so each team will have eight games.
Teams that finish 1-8 will go directly to the top 16, teams that finish 9-24 will compete against each other in the knockout
Teams ranked 25-36 will be automatically eliminated from the tournament
