Chairman of the Constitution Improvement Committee of the Simba club, Hussein Kitta has said that the members have adopted six things they were asked to improve while the issue of member representation is hitting rock bottom.
He said in those matters the members have refused to adopt one item that states to provide a member's representative in the general meeting.
"We were told to put that element in line with the way we conduct our meetings, but the members have rejected it, due to that it is only part of the recommendations given to us by the National Sports Council (BMT) which was not necessary," said Kitta< /em>
Member of the advisory board of the Simba club, Geofrey Kaburu congratulated the chairman of the Simba club, Murtaza Mangungu for conducting the meeting well and following the wishes of the members.
Mangungu said the meeting was short with good agendas that were successful for the club while emphasizing that the constitution is a cross-cutting issue and it is the needs of the members so being given a chance to be heard is a good thing.
"Also, our Council has been included in the club's constitution, so we will be advising in accordance with the constitution because we are already recognized"
"In addition to us being officially recognized by the constitution, the chairman of the club is given a special position according to the constitution to stand up for the members," he said
