After several years of tension, the National Sports Council (BMT) has finally approved the draft Constitution of the Simba club, which is an important step towards the completion of the transformation process that took about five years
Speaking at a Press Conference earlier today, the Chairman of the Simba Constitution and Law Committee, Hussein Kitta said his committee has received a letter from the NSC expressing satisfaction with what was passed in the draft Constitution after being amended
Kitta has said that this has been achieved after joint efforts between the Ministry responsible for Sports and the Lions Club
"The minister in charge of sports called a meeting to discuss the change process of Simba and there were six things that need to be worked on"
"As a result of that meeting, the Simba board formed this committee. We received many comments, some by email, some by letter, others called us and used messages. We sat in four sessions for between 4-9 hours"
"The goal is to complete the changes and the government gave us time to complete this matter. BMT said that before sending it to the members, bring the draft for us to review first. After the meetings we went to BMT and I am happy to tell you that we have received a letter from them to be satisfied with what we passed"
"The six things adopted are more beneficial to a Simba member than to any other person," said Kitta
