Yanga head coach Miguel Gamondi has said that they were not the best in the game against APR and thus lost the game in the quarter-finals of the Mapinduzin Cup by 3-1
Gamondi said they played well in the first 45 minutes but lost focus in the second half and gave their opponents a chance to score easy goals
The Argentinian coach has said that despite being eliminated from the tournament, it has helped him identify players who are qualified to continue serving Yanga
"We were better in the first half but in the end we made mistakes that gave APR the chance to equalize"
"In the second period we lost each other, it is possible that it is tiredness or some players are not in the same level of competition as our opponents"
"Our team is missing 14 players, eight players have gone to the roles of national teams and others have been missing due to injuries and other reasons"
"But this tournament has helped us to give opportunities to our youth team players and others who were not used much in our first team"
"It has also helped me to evaluate the ability of some players to see if they deserve to continue with us or not," said Gamondi
