Yanga Head Coach Miguel Gamondi is expected to go to Zanzibar with his full squad to participate in the Mapinduzi Cup which starts to kick off today
Gamondi has said that after the league stops, he will use this tournament to keep his players in good shape, knowing that after the Afcon tournament ends, the schedule will be difficult
Yanga will leave the country on Saturday December 30 with all the players who will not be on national team duties
"We need to use this championship to continue strengthening ourselves. I know we will have a tough schedule after the Afcon championship ends"
"League, FA and Champions League all competitions should be finished in three to four months"
"We cannot have a break because we have to prepare well," said Gamondi
Yanga returned to practice the other day to prepare for the championship while missing 13 players who were included in the initial squads of the national teams for Afcon 2023
Players Stephane Aziz Ki and Djigui Diarra have already been included in the final teams of Burkina Faso and Mali
