The Confederation of African Football (CAF), has appointed the Chairman of the Confederation of African Clubs (ACA) and the President of Yanga, Hersi Saidi as a member of the Committee for the Preparation of the African Nations Finals (Afcon) and the African Nations Finals Africa for Local Players (Chan)
This was said today by the President of the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF), Wallace Karia at the federation's annual meeting in Iringa
Karia has said that Hersi has been appointed to join the committee as he is a member of the CAF Executive Committee, a position he got after being removed from the leadership of ACA
"For the position of being the President of the African club, Hersi Said is a member of the CAF Executive Committee and thus has entered the Organizing Committee of Chan and Afcon," said Karia
It was only a matter of time for Hersi to start appearing in major leadership roles in African football after the good work he did since he was handed the reins to lead the Yanga club
