JKT Queens got off to a bad start in the Women's Champions League after losing 2-0 against Mamelodi Sundowns in the first group stage game played yesterday at the Amadou Gon Coulibaly Stadium, Ivory Coast
Mamelodi's goals were scored by Lebohang Ramal in the 40th minute of the game and in the second half they got the second goal in the 74th minute Refilwe Tholakele 75th.
This game is the first for JKT Queens to meet Mamelodi and this is also the second time for Tanzanian teams to participate in the tournament after last season Simba Queens took the CECAFA championship and ended up in the CAF semi-finals
JKT Queens got the chance to participate in the tournament after becoming Tanzanian Women's soccer champions and also winning the CECAFA title which gave them a ticket to Ivory Coast
