The company Serengeti Breweries Limited (SBL) through Pilsner Lager, has signed a three-year contract to sponsor the Simba club
The contract itself, worth Tsh 1.5 Billion, was signed in an event held earlier today
Chief Executive of Simba Imani Kajula has said that the sponsorship has come at the right time and will help with the running costs of the club
"It is a very strong joint venture, a joint venture between two Lions. This is a package that has come at the right time. Serengeti is a very large shareholder of Tanzania football, this is a continuation of supporting football"
"This sponsorship will help the running of the club, the running costs of clubs are always high. Funding is very important. We thank you for agreeing to join us as sponsors of Simba," said Kajula
And the Marketing Manager of SBL, Anitha Rwehumbiza has said that the partnership will make Serengeti participate in various Simba events starting from the match against Yanga on Sunday and other matches that will be played in Dar es Salaam and outside Dar es Salaam
"We aimed to find a partner that has many fans, and we were happy when we got the information that Simba is already there"
"Apart from the fact that Simba and Pilsner match in color and Simba also has the power to unite all Tanzanians with their drink Pilsner Lager."
"We will start participating in Simba's events starting with the derby and even away games. For us it was a dream but we are glad we have come at the right time. We will use media people and we will be at the stadium to promote Pilsner Lager and Simba, " she said
