Yanga attacking midfielder, Stephane Aziz KI has said that he sees the team scoring many goals this season unlike last season due to not relying on one player
Yanga has so far scored 20 goals, of which only three have been scored by other players than midfielders, who are Dickson Job, Keneddy Musonda and Hafiz Konkoni, all the others have been scored by midfielders.
Aziz Ki has said that coach Miguel Gamondi has created a collaborative team and ensures that they looks for three important points regardless of who scores
"Yanga has many players with the ability to see the goal, so everyone who gets a chance to play enters the field with the mind to fight for the team to get a good result, fight to score and prevent this with a large percentage of success"
"I may have missed a chance to score, Maxi Nzengeli, Pacome Zouzoua, Clement Mzize scored, if you look at how the defenders score, so their job is not only to defend, they have to step up and create attacks when they get a chance to score, as is the case with Job," said KI
Aziz Ki has said that the unity they have created is the big secret to playing with confidence and making good use of the opportunities they get, admitting that last season it was not the case because they believed in creating opportunities for strikers only.
He said that Gamondi has given them a great intelligence that torments their opponents every time they meet because if they choke him believing that he will punish them, he scores another player that they did not expect.
"There is no pleasure in playing football without pressure from the opponents as it is in Yanga now, we do what the coach directs us to and it has been paying us our quality due to not giving importance to ourselves when we are on the field, everyone is assumed to know what they are doing on the field"
Aziz KI, who has scored six goals so far in seven matches, has said that their goals are to defend the championship and score a large number of goals to build a good continuity in the area, which he has admitted has many talented stars
Yanga's 20 goals were scored by Job, Hafiz, Yao, Musonda all one goal each, Pacome (3), Aziz Ki (6), Mudathir (2), Maxi Nzengeli (5).
Yanga will meet their hometown Simba, having collected 18 points, the same as Simba, which is one game behind
