This could be another chance for Yanga to strengthen the squad for the group stages as in the first round of registration Yanga registered 29 players
In one of his interviews after the game against Al Merrikh in which Yanga qualified for the group stage, Yanga Coach Miguel Gamondi indicated the need for improvements in few areas
"We are going to compete in the group stage. In order to be the best competitors, it is clear that we will need improvements in a few areas, that is within the plans of the management but as a coach, you always need more"
"Without a doubt, we need a little bit of improvement to be better competitors against big teams," said Gamondi
The area that Gamondi targeted is clearly in the attack line where the signing of Ghanaian Hafiz Konkoni is still 'unlit'
In recent matches, Gamondi has used more Clement Mzize and Kennedy Musonda while Konkoni gets some few minutes in some matches
