Riyadh Mahrez has completed his £30m move from Manchester City to Saudi club Al Ahli - and will now be paid £750,000-a-week for two years
City have confirmed that the deal has been completed after Al Ahli reached their asking price for the Algerian winger, who won four Premier League titles, two FA titles, three Carabao Cups and the European Champions League during his time at the Etihad after joining the club for the first time in a £60m deal from Leicester five years ago
The 32-year-old made the move to Saudia after Pep Guardiola left him out of his squad for the FA Cup final and Champions League final as the Blues won the treble last season
Mahrez, who also won the Premier League with Leicester, has insisted he is leaving with no regrets
"Playing for Manchester City has been an honor and a privilege. I came to City to win trophies and enjoy my football and I achieved all that and more. I have had five unforgettable years with this football club, working with great players, fans the best and the best manager in the world"
"I have kept good memories in my life and the way we won the Premier League title and the battle we had with Liverpool and, last year, Arsenal, emphasized our desire and our thoughts to be better. Manchester City will always be a big part and the happiest in my life," he said
