Al Ahly of Egypt has managed to win the CAF Champions League despite a 1-1 draw against the hosts Wydad Athletic Club who were also holding the title last night at Mohamed V Stadium in Casablanca, Morocco
Wydad went ahead with the goal of its defender, Yahya Attiat-Allah El Idrissi in the 27th minute, before Mohamed Abdelmonem equalized for Al Ahly in the 78th minute
Al Ahly take home the Cup with a 3-2 aggregate win, following a 2-1 win over Wydad in the first leg last week in Cairo and that becomes their 12th title in total as they continue to win the most titles.
Al Ahly did not start the Champions League season well, having to advance to the quarter-finals with a goal difference in front of Al Hilal
But it has become their norm when they reach the quarter finals, the team changes
