Manchester City have managed to win the Premier League title for the 2022-23 season without playing after their nearest rivals Arsenal were beaten 1-0 by Nottingham Forest on Saturday night
City had been booked at home to Chelsea on Sunday, knowing that victory would seal a fifth Premier League title in six seasons
But Arsenal's slip at the City Ground on Saturday confirmed that result, leaving them four points behind City with just a game to play.
The City squad watched the game together, with pictures posted on the club's social media accounts showing the players and their manager Pep Guardiola celebrating after the final whistle.
The new champions are celebrating at the Etihad in a week after knocking out Real Madrid to reach the Champions League final and keep their treble hopes alive
They face Inter Milan in Istanbul on June 10 for the Champions League title, and face Manchester United in the FA Cup final on June 3
But first they will lift the Premier League trophy after Sunday's match against Frank Lampard's side
