It was a brutal 90 minutes at the Bernabeu, Real Madrid and Manchester City drew 1-1 in the first leg of the semi-final of the Champions League in Europe
It was a two-period match. Manchester City had more possession in the first half. From the first minute, they attacked more, and tried to squeeze Real Madrid into their half.
However, it was Real Madrid who scored first in the 36th minute through Vinicious Junior who shot hard outside the 18 after a pass from Eduardo Camavinga
Real Madrid went into the break with a 1-0 lead and came back in the second half with the same momentum looking for the winning goal
Manchester City responded in the 67th minute, Calvin De Bruyne, who was the star of the game, scored a goal by shooting from outside the 18 as did Vini Jr
The draw makes the second leg at the Etihad an equal opportunity for each team, with City potentially having a bigger advantage at home
However, this season Real Madrid have shown that they can win in any field whether at home or away
