Simba Assistant Coach Juma Mgunda has said that he know the pain that the Simba fans are going through after witnessing their team being eliminated from the semi-finals of the Azam Confederation Cup (ASFC) by losing 2-1 against Azam Fc in the game played yesterday at the Nangwanda Sijaona stadium in Mtwara < /p>
Mgunda said these results have hurt even those on the technical bench, they will evaluate what happened this season in order to plan and do better next season
"I know the strength of the fans in the field, that's why they say they are 12th player, this result has hurt them a lot but even we the technical bench have been hurt because it was not our intention. The first person who wants a winning result is the coach and the technical bench"
"When a result like this happen, I should tell the Simba fans that it has hurt us all. The main thing is to organize ourselves and see where we went wrong so that in the future we can do better"
"I can say this season has not been good for us but we the technical bench have seen it, Simba management have seen it and this is a big institution, will take steps to correct the shortcomings to ensure that next season we do well," said Mgunda< /p>
After the defeat of Azam Fc, it is as if Simba has lost hope of winning any title this season as they are behind by seven points in the standings of the NBC Premier League with only three matches remaining
