Yanga arrived in Singida yesterday and in the evening to start preparations for the premier league game against Singida BS which will be played on Thursday, May 04th at the LITI stadium
Yanga Manager Walter Harrison has said that they are in Singida with only one mission, to win to put themselves in a good position to win the championship for the second season in a row
Yanga leads the league with 68 points, five points more than their rivals Simba who are in second place with 63 points
Today Simba will face Namungo Fc in a game that will be played at Majaliwa Stadium where if Simba manage to get all three points they will reduce the point gap from five to two with three matches remaining
But if Yanga wins against Singida, BS will return five points to the top while there are three matches left to conclude the season in which the Citizens will need another five points from those matches to become champions
"The team has arrived safely in Singida, in the evening the players had a chance to do the first training here. We will complete our last training tomorrow (today) at the LITI stadium"
"We have come here to seek victory so that we can put ourselves in a good position to defend our title. We know these matches at the end of the season are difficult but we have come here to fight to make sure we get good results," said Walter
After the semi-final game of the FA Cup has been moved forward, Yanga will return to Dar es Salaam after the match against Singida BS to prepare for the semi-final game of the CAF Federation Cup against Malumo Galants which will be played next Wednesday. May 10 at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium
