Tanzania Parliament Speaker Dr Tulia Ackson has donated Sh2 million to Mbeya City team as part of the team's preparations for the game against Kagera Sugar on April 23
The funds were given today April 18, 2023 during a lunch organized by the Speaker for Mbeya City players in Dodoma on their way to Bukoba for the match to be played at the Kaitaba stadium
Handing over the money on behalf of Dr Tulia, MP Lupa Chunya Masache Kasaka in collaboration with Mbeya MPs have also given Sh1 million making the total Sh3 million.
The MPs have also promised to buy a victory for the Mbeya City team for every remaining match in the ongoing Tanzania Premier League
Recently the former Member of Parliament for Mbeya City, Joseph Mbilinyi 'Sugu' promised to give Tsh 1 Million for every winning goal scored by Mbeya City in the remaining matches
Mbeya City ranks 13th in the NBC premier league standings with 27 points, seven points above the relegation zone
However, if they finish in that position, they will play in the play-off
