The draw for the Quarter Finals of the 2022/23 CAF competition, the Champions League and the Confederation Cup is expected to take place today, Wednesday, April 5, 2023 in Cairo, Egypt starting at 09:30 pm
The draw will be broadcast live on CAF's digital platforms and TV partners. While football stakeholders in the country are eagerly waiting for the draw to find out Simba and Yanga's opponents, Simba coach Robertinho Oliveira has started preparing his team with Simba's goals being to reach the semi-finals
But before the CAF quarter-final matches that will be played on April 22-28, Simba faces three important matches where one is FA cup quarter-finals against Ihefu Fc will be played on Friday April 07th, the premier league match against Ihefu Fc will be played April 10th and the premier league match against Yanga will be played on April 16th
Robertinho said they are currently preparing for the next matches ahead but they do not have any fear in the Champions League as they will be ready to face any team
"We cannot choose the opponent to face, whoever we will be matched with, we will face them, we can do wonders and surprise Africa, we will make preparations step by step"
"I have always had a positive attitude, so my expectations are high, the past is gone and the big task is to see how we can be twice as good at the next stage, we are in a good place, I think the fans should wait for the best team in the quarter finals"
"We have already worked to correct the mistakes and we will have time for final preparations, I believe in the quality of the team we have," said Robertinho
Simba will face Mamelodi Sundowns, Esperance or Wydad Athletic in the quarter final stage where his opponent will be known after the draw that will be held today
