Naby Keita will leave Liverpool this summer, ending his five-year spell at Anfield. The midfielder's contract expires in June and he will be looking for a new challenge outside of Merseyside
Teammate Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who will also be a free agent at the end of the season, is also set to leave in the summer.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano was the first to reveal the news, posting on social networks
"Naby Keita will leave Liverpool on a free transfer. There are no changes to his deal with Oxlade-Chamberlain, the decisions were made since November and the same will be the case with Arthur Melo's loan."
Keita cost Liverpool £52.75m from RB Leipzig in 2018, but did not live up to expectations.
He has played 129 times and scored 11 goals for the Premier League giants. His time at Anfield has been beset by injury problems and he has missed around 84 games due to injury. With only 11 games left in their season, he may have played his last minutes in Jurgen Klopp's side.
