Erling Haaland was absent from Manchester City training on Thursday. The Norwegian striker has been in fine form for City this season, scoring 42 goals in just 37 games since joining from Borussia Dortmund
However, his participation this weekend is in doubt due to the groin injury he sustained in the 6-0 FA Cup win over Burnley.
Haaland did not travel to join his international team-mates and Norway as he nursed his injury in the hope of being fit for Saturday's clash with Liverpool
However, with no signs of the striker in City training, it puts his involvement in serious doubt.
If he misses out, he will join Phil Foden on the sidelines after the England midfielder was also ruled out.
Although the exact nature of his injury is not known, his father, Alfie Haaland, gave information about his condition on Norway's TV2 which may worry City fans.
Alfie Halaand said that Man City could do well to use him in the game against Liverpool but it is clear that he will need special treatment to be able to participate in the game
