Coastal Union determined to remain in Premier League

Coastal Union Fc has prepared effective strategies to ensure that they gets rid of the dangerous position of play-off to remain in the Tanzania Mainland Premier League next season

According to the rules of the Premier League, the two teams that will drag their tails (15th and 16th), will go down directly to play in the Championship League next season, while those who finish 13th and 14th, will have to play play off matches to vying to remain in the Premier League.

The Premier League is currently on the brink with all teams remaining with five games until the end of the 2022/23 season, except Simba and Yanga who have six games left each.

Yanga is at the top of the league with 65 points followed by Simba 57 while Singida Big Stars follows with 48 points and Azam is behind him with 47 points.

Costal Union is in 13th place with 26 points, which is to play play off games.

The Information Officer of Coastal Union, Jonathan Tito, has said that they are planning properly to ensure that they finish in a good position by winning all the remaining games.

"Our squad has entered the camp after a week's rest after our last game against Singida Big Stars in which we drew 1-1"

"Our next game is against Dodoma City which we will play at Jamhuri Stadium Dodoma, so the teacher is preparing our team well so that we can get good results," said Tito"

"Our game will be difficult due to the position we are in now, so we should prepare well."

The remaining games for Costal Union apart from the one against Dodoma City, are against Mtibwa Sugar, Ihefu, Azam FC and Simba which will be the last game to be played at Uhuru Stadium, Dar es Salaam
