Gianni Infantino has been elected once again as the President of the World Football Federation (FIFA) in the elections held today in Kigali Rwanda
In the election, Infantino was the only candidate and will lead the world's biggest football organization until 2027
"It is an honor and pride for me to be re-elected as FIFA President," said Infantino after the announcement
Infantino was first elected FIFA President in 2016 following the resignation of his predecessor Sepp Blatter, and took the post unopposed three years later.
But this counts as his second term in office and therefore he can run again for a third and final term in four years
