Midfielder Feisal Salum 'Fei Toto', is among the 31 players called to the Tanzania National Team squad, Taifa Stars to prepare for two matches against Uganda in search of a place to qualify for the AFCON 2024 finals to be held in January until February next year
Fei Toto, has been called up to the national team while he is not present in the Yanga team that plays in the Premier League and the CAF Confederations Cup , and has recently submitted a letter to the offices of the Football Federation in the country (TFF), asking to terminate contract with his club.
Initially, the TFF Laws and Players Status Committee announced that Fei Toto is a legitimate Yanga player, after a contractual dispute between all parties, which started at the end of last year.
In addition to the player, who has not been seen on the field for a long time now, a statement released yesterday by the Information and Communication Department of TFF under Clifford Ndimbo, mentioned the players selected to join the squad are Aishi Manula, Beno Kakolanya, Mzamiru Yassin from Simba , Metacha Mnata, Kibwana Shomari, Fei Toto, Dickson Job, Bakari Mwanyeto, Mudathir Yahaya and Ibrahi Baka from Yanga.
Others are Datius Peter, David Luhende, Anuary Jabir and Abdallah Mfuko from Kagera Sugar, Yahaya Mbegu from Ihefu, Yasuph Kagoma from Singida Big Stars, Sospeter Bajana and Abdul Suleiman 'Sopu' from Azam FC, Edmund John from Geita Gold, and Khalid Habibu of KMKM.Tanzanian players called to pursue professional football abroad include captain Mbwana Samatta from KRC Genk in Belgium, Kelvin John who plays for the club, Simon Msuva of Al-Qadsiah of Saudi Arabia, Ramadhani Makame of Bodrumspor of Turkey , Novetus Dismas of Zulte Waregem of Belgium, Alphonce Mabula of FK Spartak Subotica of Serbia, Ben Starkie who plays for Basford United FC of England, Haji Mnoga of Aldershot Town of England, Ally Msengi of Swallows of South Africa, Himid Mao of Ghazi El Mahala SC of Egypt and Said Khamis of Al-Fujairah of the United Arab Emirates.
The team will be under the recently announced Head Coach Adel Amrouche, an Algerian citizen, who will be given the responsibility of training the Taifa Stars team.
