Manchester United and Crystal Palace have been fined 55,000 pounds by the football association in England FA for failing to prevent their players who went into violence in the Premier League game played on February 12th, 2023.
In that game, United midfielder Carlos Casemiro was shown a red card after choking Palace midfielder Will Hughes by the neck while the violence continued.
The violence started with Palace midfielder Jeffrey Schlupp fouling United winger Antony and both were given a yellow card.
United have accepted the charge while Palace have denied it. A spokesperson for the Football Association said:
"Manchester United and Crystal Palace admitted and denied that they failed to ensure that their players behaved in an orderly manner and refrained from breaking the rules and regulations of football"
"An independent regulatory commission later found the charges against Crystal Palace upheld and fined both clubs"
