Sheikh Jassim, Ratcliffe bid for Man United

Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Chairman of one of the biggest banks in Qatar, has confirmed that his institution will submit an application to buy the Manchester United club.

In addition, according to the BBC Ineos, owned by Sir Jim Ratcliffe, has also made an official offer to buy Man United

Billionaire Ratcliffe had already expressed his intention to buy United after the Glazer family, who bought United in 2005, made clear the plan to sell the club

Sheikh Jassim's Qatari alliance said they plan to return United to its former glory

The wealthy bilionaires from Qatar want to invest in football, training facilities, stadiums and infrastructure, the fan experience and the community that supports the club

"The aim of the bid is to make sure Manchester United be known for the quality of football, and to be seen as the biggest football club in the world," said Sheikh Jassim's statement
