Information and Communication Manager Simba Sc Ahmed Ally said Shs. 20 billion invested by its billionaire investor Mohamed "Mo" Dewji can be used to apply for a loan to build a Simba stadium that will be used in all competition matches
Speaking in Dar es Salaam, Ahmed said that the idea and ambition to build the stadium is still there, with members and fans continuing to contribute, but at the same time club officials are finalizing the process of forming a special committee to oversee the construction.
"Initially it was a plan of the fans who had a munkar as a result of what happened, but the sheer number of contributions made the officials develop the project, that's why we are now preparing the stadium drawings, a special committee is formed to address the issue because this matter cannot be handled by officials or boards "
"And we are not only rely on the contributions of members, but remember Simba is currently a lending institution, we have Shs. 20 billion in banks that if we go to get a loan we build a stadium without any problems, "said Ahmed .
He added that at the moment there are some who see it as an impossibility, but with the way the club officials have organized, many will be surprised.
"We're going to do something different that has never been seen in Africa," he said
