All problems has came to an end after the Ministry of Home Affairs confirmed that Minister, Hon. George Simbachawene has granted Tanzanian citizenship to Kibu on September 30, 2021
Kibu has lived in Tanzania for a long time serving first division teams where before he was signed by Simba last season he played for Mbeya City
There was a time when he was called up to the National team and played in a friendly match against Malawi, June 13 with Tanzania winning 2-0
However, after being signed by Simba, a controversy arose over his citizenship stating that he was a native of Burundi
The Ministry has resolved the dispute and Kibu is free to serve Simba and the Tanzania National Team
"The powers vested in the Minister of Home Affairs, George Simbachawene, in accordance with the Citizenship Act, Chapter 357 (Reference 2002), upon receipt of a petition filed by the TFF, have granted him CITIZENSHIP Tanzanian Football Player, Kibu Denis Prosper, Sept. 30, 2021, " said a statement from the Ministry of Home Affairs
