After completing his transfer to Simba, Kagera Sugar officials have emerged claiming that they still recognize Mhilu as their player as they have a one-year contract remaining
Mhilu expressed surprise at the emergence of the leaders now as they were involved in every step of his signing with Simba
"I remember i was told Kagera had agreed and I signed a three-year contract, even when I informed my employers (Kagera Sugar) at the time they did not object to it"
"So until I signed and was introduced I believed everything was fine, but this time there is something going on I think is a more administrative issue, the leaders will find a solution," said Mhilu

It is reported earlier that there was an agreement on the amount of money that Kagera Sugar agreed to be paid to terminate Mhilu's contract but later they demanded more money
