Simba SC Head of Information and Communications Ahmed Ally has reassured fans ahead of the Kariakoo Derby against Yanga SC, scheduled for this Saturday, October 10, 2026.
Ahmed has strongly dismissed rumours circulating on social media that their key winger, Libasse Gueye, has suffered an injury.
He said the reports are false and intended to cause unnecessary panic, stressing that the Senegalese star is in good health, has not suffered even a minor injury and is 100 percent fit for the match.
"Gueye is continuing with intensive preparations alongside his teammates and is in excellent shape to light up the derby," Ahmed said.
Ahmed also said the Simba squad has entered camp to complete the second phase of their preparations after concluding a 10-day training camp in South Africa.
