Following recommendations from Simba head coach Steve Barker, who called for improvements on the left side of defense, the club’s management has already taken steps to reinforce that area.
Simba are in the final stages of completing the signing of Mauritanian left back Khadim Diaw, and it is also reported that talks have been held with Singida Black Stars over the signing of Nickson Kibabage.
Barker is keen on bringing in new options at left back, a move that could also see Anthony Mligo sent out on loan.
It is reported that Kibabage is already in Dar es Salaam, with the remaining step being an agreement between the clubs and a decision on whether the player will join Simba on loan or on a permanent transfer.
Kibabage was part of the Taifa Stars squad that featured at the 2025 AFCON and reached the knockout stages for the first time in history.
