Simba SC are reported to be in the final stages of completing the signing of Congolese central defender Ndongani Samba Gilbani (25) from Congo Brazzaville.
Ndongani currently plays for Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko.
It is reported that the acquisition of the highly rated defender is a recommendation from head coach Steve Barker, who is seeking to strengthen his defensive line.
Ndongani is the captain of Asante Kotoko and a key player in their squad.
As Simba continue to miss Abdulrazak Hamza due to injury, while Rushine De Reuck has only just returned after being sidelined for several weeks, Ndongani—who is also a member of the Congo national team—could be the right player to solidify the defense.
Additionally, his arrival could potentially put Ivory Coast defender Caraboua Chamou under pressure regarding his place in the team.
