Yacoub picked up the injury during Taifa Stars’ preparations ahead of the match.
Head coach Miguel Gamondi will be forced to make a mandatory change in the goalkeeper position.
Goalkeepers Hussein Masalanga and Zuberi Foba are the two options available, with one of them set to take responsibility for protecting the Stars’ goal today.
The knee injury suffered by Yacoub could also rule him out of all three group-stage matches.
