The Women’s Premier League (WPL) entered its third round yesterday, with Simba Queens maintaining a 100 percent winning record after defeating Fountain Gate Princess 3–0 at Kwaraa Stadium in Manyara.
It was Simba Queens’ third consecutive victory, having also won their previous two matches in Dar es Salaam without conceding a single goal.
The Msimbazi-based side have now scored 10 goals and sit in second place on the table, trailing their main rivals JKT Queens on goal difference.
This season, Simba Queens are targeting the Women’s League title after losing it to JKT Queens last season.
It is clear that competition will be even fiercer this time around, especially with rivals Yanga Princess also showing improvement after collecting nine points from their first three matches.
