Simba Queens suffered a 2β1 defeat to JKT Queens in the Community Shield final held at the KMC Complex Stadium.
The first 45 minutes proved costly for Simba Queens, as they conceded both goals during that period β one of them an own goal by Asha Omary.
It could be said that the players appeared fatigued, perhaps due in part to the tight schedule, as they had played their semifinal match just three days earlier at 1:00 p.m.
Simbaβs only goal came late in the second half, scored by Zawadi Usanase, but it was not enough to change the outcome.
This marks the second consecutive season that Simba Queens have missed out on the Community Shield title. Their focus now turns to the upcoming Womenβs Premier League campaign, where they will aim to reclaim the championship currently held by JKT Queens.
